28 May 2012 I wondered what the Price-Earnings (PE) ratios were over this time 60-year time frame. The chart below compares the S&P 500 to the PE ratio  10 Oct 2018 I thought I would chart the Shiller PE ratio on the S&P 500. I did this because I have general feeling is that things are a little over-extended. Since 1988 it has more than doubled the S&P 500 with an average gain of + 24.47% per year.
