Reading stock candle chart

Four pieces of data, gathered through the course of a security’s trading day, are used to create a candlestick chart: opening price, closing price, high, and low. The candle in a chart is white when the close for a day is higher than the open, and black when the close is lower than the open. But really a candlestick chart pattern can actually offer much more than that, once you learn how to read it. It can tell you a lot about the attention and trader action around a stock. As with any other stock chart, candlesticks can reveal stock patterns that can help you confirm trends and help you make more-educated trade decisions. The most basic skill needed for investing is the ability to read a stock chart and then understand how that data can aid your investing success.
